I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your support and participation at the 2009, 2010 and 2011 Annual Winter Leadership retreats. As we prepare to host our final retreat for this quadrennial, we are excited about the wealth of information that will be shared at the 2012 retreat.
We will continue to build on our theme of "going back to the basic". This year will present an overview of the church calendar. Participants will enhance their knowledge and understanding of why we recognize and celebrate the Advent and Lenten seasons.
The second workshop is design to present participants with an overview of the proposed 2012 Legislation. Your input is needed and greatly appreciated as we prepare to attend the 2012 General Conference and chart the course for our great Zion.
The third workshop is designed for us to reflect on our past and rich history of "lay witness, leadership training and advocacy." We will celebrate our past, embrace our present and plan for our future as dedicated lay servants.
In addition to the workshops, we will have a thought provoking and interactive Bible study which will continue to enhance our spiritual growth and development. We also look forward to the Arlene Prevost leadership dinner and the inspiring message that will be shared by our special guest Mr. Jerry Turner of the 4th Episcopal District.
I look forward to seeing all of you on Friday January 13, 2012. Don't forget to bring your Bibles, dance shoes and your best friend!
